Editor's verdict

mmhmm is a solid freemium pick, rated 4.0/5 by 708 users. Best for video calls and webinars where presenter and slides need to share equal screen space and prerecorded online course videos with embedded presenter. Standout: presenter composited inside slides - not a separate corner box. Watch out: primarily useful for video presentations - less useful for in-person or screen share.

About mmhmm

mmhmm is a virtual presenter tool that places the presenter's webcam feed directly inside slide content during video calls and recordings. Rather than screen-sharing a slide deck and appearing in a small corner box, mmhmm composites the presenter and slides together - the presenter can appear at different sizes, move to different positions on screen, hold virtual objects, and create visual interactions between themselves and the content. This creates a fundamentally different video presentation experience where the presenter is part of the slide rather than a detached talking head. mmhmm works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and most video conferencing tools as a virtual camera source, requiring no special setup from viewers. The platform includes a library of scene templates, backgrounds, and transitions designed for engaging video presentations and recordings. For creating prerecorded course videos, client demos, and marketing content, mmhmm allows a single person to produce polished presenter-in-slide video without studio equipment. It is particularly effective for educators and trainers who want students to maintain visual connection with the presenter while following along with content.
